Installing and Using Duo multi-factor authentication

Note:  All students, faculty, and staff must use Duo authentication to access their Columbia College Chicago account, including M365, Self‑Service, and Canvas. The Duo QR code is intended to be scanned by your mobile device. Please do not use your phone to complete the setup. Instead, open the setup page on a separate device—such as a computer—and scan the QR code with your phone’s camera or the Duo Mobile app. If you cannot use a computer, you may follow an alternative method, such as manually entering the activation key provided during setup.

Installing Duo Mobile App

Android - Install Duo Mobile using Google Play

iOS iPhone - Install Duo Mobile using the Apple Store

Setting up your Duo Mobile

1.  When setting up your Columbia College account you will encounter a Duo Mobile screen after creating your password. Click Next to begin activating Duo Two-Factor Authentication for your account.  After accessing your account a QR code will be generated to scan.  DON'T close this window as you'll use the code to activate Duo.
