How to clear cache in Edge

This usually occurs when a user tries to log into Peoplesoft FSCM right after working in PeopleSoft HCM.

Incident 1: Error 404 - End user receives an error message when attempting to access Approvals tile in Managers Self Service Dashboard

Incident 2: End user receives PeopleSoft Blue Login screen when trying to log into PeopleSoft HCM or FSCM

Commonly occurs when user moves between HCM application & Finance application, i.e. approves time sheet then needs to approve requisition.

To clear cache in Edge Browser, click the  ellipsis in the top right-hand corner of the page to access the browser’s settings.

From the drop down list, select Settings.

From the Settings page, type CACHE into the search field and click the ​​​​​​ Choose what to clear button.

These are my Edge browser settings (the browser I use most often). I clear all cache except the bank applications I use. Clearing these settings should eliminate most problems when jumping from one PeopleSoft instance to another, i.e., HCM to FSCVM.

This page will come up when you choose the Choose what to clear button. You also have the option to change the time range from Last Hour to one of the options in the drop-down list.  

To clear cookies and cache every time you close the browser, select Cookies and site permissions and then select Manage and delete cookies and site data.

From Cookie and site data, click the Add button in the Allow section to allow specific sites that you do not want to clear upon closing the Edge browser.

If you are unsure of which sites to allow to save cookies, click See all cookies and site data for a complete list of sites you have accessed. This will include the number of cookies by site.  

Here is an example of sites you may want to save cookies for when exiting the Edge browser.
