Accessing VDI In-Class for Harmony

This is a step-by step guide for students who need to run Harmony from personal laptops that are unable to run Harmony.

Go to horizon.colum.edu in a browser.

From there, you need to download the VMware Horizon Client.

Choose the client appropriate for your OS.

Once done downloading, launch the installer and install VMware horizon.

If it asks you to repair or remove the installation, click “repair”.

You will then have to restart your computer.

You should then see VMware on your machine. Yay!

Once you launch it, you need to sign in.

If there is an option for “horizon.colum.edu”, select that option. If not, click “Add Server” and type in: horizon.colum.edu

After going through authentication procedures, you should then be logged in! Select 3D Animation device to use Harmony.
