Connecting to Columbia’s Student Wi-fi on a Mac

This is the wireless network dedicated to students. This network is accessed using your username and password.  The following screenshots detail the steps to connect to the network.

  1. Select “Columbia Student” from the list of available networks.

   2.  A browser window will pop up with Columbia’s Single Sign-On Portal. This is where the students input their MyColumbia number and MyColumbia Password. Ex:  12345@colum.edu or 12345 (adding “@colum.edu” is optional) following your MyColumbia password, then click “OK”.

Note: If a window does not automatically pop up, open a Web browser and attempt to access the portal and you will be redirected to the log-in page. If you have any issues, please contact Client Services at 312-369-7001.

   3.  If the login credentials are valid, you will be redirected to www.colum.edu and you will click “Done”. If the credentials are not valid, you will be asked to enter your information again.

   4.  You should be directed to the network. Please launch a web browser or open another tab within your opened web browser to access the internet!
